oatmeal cookies-10

I cannot believe my little maltese Brooklyn, is turning two! It feels like yesterday when made the courageous (3hr) move from Lousiana. 😉 She has been the best little companion and has become quite the shopping and travel pro. She is best little organizer and is such a good friend to her besties Stasia an Sienna.

In honor of her upcoming birthday, I decided to feature a recipe that dons her nickname. If you have never had a brookie before, now is the time to try them. They are basically, a combination of a brownie and a chocolate chip cookie. (Two of the best things in life, right?!) To learn how to make these adorable cookie bars, keep scrolling down!

Stir in the chocolate chips and sprinkles into the dough and press evenly on top of brownie layer. (Do not try to spread it since the brownie layer is too lightweight) Bake for 20-28 min (cover top with foil if it browns too quickly)
