Red Velvet Brownie Brittle

oatmeal cookies-11

I recently finished 13 Reasons Why and I feel like it has changed everything for me. I read the book back in 2008, so I know what I was in for. Still, I really didn’t know what I was in for.

It was one of most emotionally raw and tragically poigant things I have ever seen. It’s certainly a show that everyone can relate to on a certain level. They did an incredible job of showcasing real life situations in a humanizing manner. You were able feel everything Hannah Baker felt. It made you root for her, even though you knew what was going to happen. There are few shows/movies have stayed with me for more than week, and this is one of them. I honestly felt like I was in a fog for a whole day after watching the final episode.

The thing that sticks with me most about the show and book is its poweful message:”When you mess with one part of a person’s life, you’re messing with their entire life. Everything. . . affects everything.” The main message that resonates is that we have no idea of the battles that others are fighting in their lives, and the way that we treat each other deeply impacts us more than we could ever know.

The main reason I created this blog and my Instagram is bring a light into others lives’. I want my food to brighten up people’s days. I only want to spread and happiness, which you in turn, can do when baking my and sharing my recipes. I personally find baking to be increbily theraputic. If you are going through something stressful, baking can be a great creative outlet.

To cheer things back up a bit (sorry to be so serious!) I want to bring you a new addicting treat. This red velvet brownie bark makes the perfect Valentines or Galentines gift. It is very easy and quick to make, and the best part is you can personalize the candy wafers and sprinkles.
