Are you a fan of sweet n’ savory food? I personally am. I pretty much hopped on the salted caramel bandwagon right when it started. And I can honestly say that I haven’t met a salted caramel treat that I didn’t like. There is just something about the added salt that just brings out the rich buttery caramel flavor. It has a way to my heart.
I’m so happy to bring you one of my new favorite recipes of all time. Sometimes I just throw things together and see if it tastes good. This one was one of those times and it certainly paid off. If you’re a fan of salted caramel then you should definitely this recipe a try. I can pretty much guarantee that regular rice krispie treats just won’t cut it anymore!
Line and spray a 9x 13-inch baking dish with nonstick cooking spray.
Melt the butter and marshmallows over a double boiler. Stir occasionally until melted.
Stir in pudding mix until well combined.
Place the rice Krispie and Oreos in a bowl.
Pour marshmallow mixture over cereal. Stir until evenly combine. Press into prepared pan.
Melt caramel chips and heavy cream in a microwave at 50% (medium heat in 30-second intervals.
Pour over bars and spread evenly. Top with Sea salt and additional chopped Oreos.
Chill bars to allow ganache to set before cutting into bars.
