Candy Apple Fudge

oatmeal cookies-37

Do you remember those caramel apple lollipops? They were the kind that were green apple flavor and dipped in caramel. Guess what?! I have something even better!! These are like the grown up version. Okay maybe they still great for kids, but I at least I can pretend I’ve grown up a bit! 😉

This fudge is best when made in non humid conditions. I’m sure you’ve heard that old wive’s tale that you cannot make fudge when it’s raining out. I must say for this recipe, it might be true. In order for the caramel to set up properly the climate needs to be decently dry. I first worked on this recipe when we were having four straight days of rain! Needless to say it took a bit of patience to perfect it!

Rest assured, I have found the perfect ratios to make sure this recipe works well for you! I decided to dress it up a little and dip each square in cand coating and top them with the most adorable royal icing leaves! Now you can get your caramel apple fix without all the work!

Preheat oven to 350 degrees F. Mix flour, cocoa powder, baking soda and salt in medium bowl. Set aside.-140
